Rick Stein Coves of Cornwall Set of 2 Mugs - Lamorna Cove

Rick Stein Coves of Cornwall Set of 2 Mugs - Lamorna Cove

This beautiful ceramic design, inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, was the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year design students at Falmouth University, Cornwall.

Coves from north Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea. The clean design and form of bone china complements the subtly changing shades of each cove resulting in a unique and highly collectible range of coastal tableware.

Rick's memory of Lamorna Cove - "At the end of a lush green valley this rocky cove was made famous by the artist Dame Laura Knight, who captured the almost turquoise coloured water on a sunny day.  Memorable for me too as the setting to a well loved Cornish Song: ‘And we rode all night through the pale moonlight away down to Lamorna."

These mugs have a diameter of 8.5cm. They are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe to 200 degrees.
