This beautiful ceramic design, inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, was the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year design students at Falmouth University, Cornwall.
Coves from north Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea. The clean design and form of bone china complements the subtly changing shades of each cove resulting in a unique and highly collectible range of coastal tableware.
Rick's memory of Cadgwith Cove -"Every time I go to Cadgwith I pinch myself to remind me I’m not in a film set. It’s everything anyone could dream of a small Cornish cove with fishing boats pulled up onto the beach and for me the worlds best red mullet is landed there."
These mugs have a diameter of 8.5cm. They are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe to 200 degrees.
